Most ride-sharing apps treat safety as a feature you can see — a map with a moving dot, a "share your trip" button, a support number buried three menus deep. These are useful, but they share one weakness: they're passive. They assume something is wrong only after you go looking for proof. This matters most in exactly the situations where it's hardest to ask for help — when a passenger may feel uncertain but not urgent enough to act, or simply prefers not to make the first move. A scheduled check-in removes that burden. The system reaches out; the passenger doesn't have to.
